El \u00edcono mundial, empresario y creador de \u00e9xitos, Daddy Yankee, se ha unido al equipo de b\u00e9isbol de los Cangrejeros de Santurce como inversionista y apoderado.

Daddy Yankee se unir\u00e1 al chairman Thomas Axon y al presidente Justo Moreno como apoderados del equipo, que tiene su sede en San Juan y juega sus partidos en casa en el estadio Hiram Bithorn.
\u201cMis fan\u00e1ticos saben que me apasiona el b\u00e9isbol. Me cri\u00e9 en Santurce, que mejor manera de celebrar mis ra\u00edces que uni\u00e9ndome al equipo de los Cangrejeros para continuar promoviendo nuestro talento fuera de Puerto Rico, e inspirar la nueva generaci\u00f3n de talento local y joven,\u201d a\u00f1adi\u00f3 Yankee.
\u201cLa historia y la importancia del equipo para la herencia deportiva de Puerto Rico convencieron a Daddy Yankee de que el continuo renacimiento del b\u00e9isbol de Puerto Rico era algo en lo que \u00e9l sent\u00eda necesitaba involucrarse\u201d, explic\u00f3 el Sr. Axon al invitar a Daddy Yankee a convertirse en apoderado del equipo. \u00abLa historia particular de este equipo, y el hecho de que Daddy Yankee creci\u00f3 jugando b\u00e9isbol esencialmente a la sombra de nuestro estadio en Santurce, tambi\u00e9n fueron importantes en la decisi\u00f3n de Daddy Yankee\u00bb, agreg\u00f3 el Sr. Moreno.
La lista del equipo ha incluido a muchos jugadores que se convirtieron en miembros del Sal\u00f3n de la Fama de las Grandes Ligas de B\u00e9isbol, entre ellos Roberto Clemente, que lleva el nombre de toda la liga de b\u00e9isbol profesional de Puerto Rico.
Los Cangrejeros de la Liga Roberto Clemente, ganaron el campeonato de Liga 2019-20 antes de que la pandemia impidiera a los Cangrejeros jugar la temporada 2020-21. La temporada 2021-22 est\u00e1 programada para comenzar el 6 de noviembre. Muchos de los juegos de temporada regular de la Liga Roberto Clemente, y todos los juegos de postemporada, ser\u00e1n transmitidos en Puerto Rico por WAPA y en todo Estados Unidos e internacionalmente por Fox. Los Cangrejeros de Santurce
Son un equipo de b\u00e9isbol profesional con sede en Santurce, el barrio m\u00e1s grande y poblado de San Juan, Puerto Rico. La franquicia se uni\u00f3 en 1939 a la Liga de B\u00e9isbol Profesional Roberto Clemente cuando era la Liga de B\u00e9isbol Semi-Profesional de Puerto Rico. Habiendo jugado durante m\u00e1s de 70 temporadas, los Cangrejeros han ganado diecis\u00e9is t\u00edtulos nacionales y cinco Series del Caribe. Con m\u00e1s de 2000 victorias, los Cangrejeros han ganado la mayor cantidad de juegos en la historia del b\u00e9isbol profesional puertorrique\u00f1o.
